Man recognizes father in Storm video

“He did not want to go to Serbia, but the neighbors persuaded him to do so. However, he returned again, and when he saw that all the people had left, he left as well once again. That is how he was the last to arrive at Dvora, which is where he disappeared.” Miloš Klarić said.

Miloš Klarić was watching the news with his wife when the footage of Serbian civilians being abused during Operation Storm was shown. Miloš Klarić said that he did not recognize his father right away, not until his wife told him to pay closer attention. That is the first time in ten years that he found out where his father was headed and where his grave might possibly be.

“I cannot believe that three young men are pushing him, he was very thin, about 50 kilograms. When I saw that, I really could not watch anymore. This was an old man that never left his house; he was involved with agriculture and tended to his livestock.” Miloš Klarić said.

Miloš Klarić lives with his wife and young son as a refugee in Smederevo. He said that he has no desire to return to his village in Croatia and that he only expects the war criminals to be punished and his father’s grave to be found.

The amateur-shot video footage of war crimes being committed against Serbs leaving Krajina during Operation Storm in August 1995 was shown late last week on TV B92. Both Croatian and Bosnian prosecutors have begun investigating the incidents.
