New Serbian Orthodox metropolitan enthroned in Zagreb

The enthronement service was attended by Archbishop of Zagreb Cardinal Josip Bozanić and the Serbian delegation headed by Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić.

In late May, the SPC Assembly decided to appoint Bishop of Jegar Porfirije Perić as the new Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana after Metropolitan Jovan passed away.

Porfirije was thus entrusted with "one of the biggest and most important SPC metropolitanates," the Croatian Radio-Television (HRT) reported.
