Ukrainian embassy "surprised" by Dodik's pro-Russian stance

The diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Bosnia-Herzegovina has reacted to RS President Milorad Dodik's statement in support of Russian actions in Crimea.

Ukrainian embassy "surprised" by Dodik's pro-Russian stance

"We wish to point out that these actions have been condemned by the entire international community, including the UN, the OSCE, the United States and the EU, as aggression directed against a sovereign state," the statement asserted, according to reports.

Speaking for Sarajevo's daily Dnevni Avaz, Dodik said Russia was acting "to preserve peace, prevent bloodshed and a war that would be hard to bring to a halt."

"The Russian actions are directed exclusively toward creating a neutral environment for political decisions and dialogue inside Ukraine itself. That has my support," Dodik said on Wednesday.
