Slovenia: Three persons survive lightning strike
NOVO MESTO -- Three people have survived a lightning strike in Ratez, near Novo Mesto, in Slovenia.
All three have been injured and taken to the hospital.
They were standing in front of a restaurant when the accident took place, said the reports from Slovenia.
The identity of the injured persons has not been revealed, but according to unofficial information, two of the group are foreign nationals.
Slovenia's Administration for Protection and Rescue confirmed the accident, but did not reveal the extent of the injuries suffered by the victims.
Last May, a lightning struck three members of the same family in a field near the Sveti Duh village in Slovenia, killing the father, while his wife and daughter survived.
The country has recently seen volatile weather, with regular afternoon thunderstorms accompanied with hailstorms and heavy showers.
