Borislav Milošević laid to rest in Montenegro

Long-time Yugoslav diplomat and brother of former Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević, Borislav, was laid to rest on Friday.

KOLASIN Long-time Yugoslav diplomat and brother of former Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, Borislav, was laid to rest on Friday. The funeral was held in Lijeva Rijeka, northern Montenegro, where the Milosevic family originally comes from. Borislav Milosevic laid to rest in Montenegro Borislav Milosevic passed away in Belgrade earlier this week, aged 77. SPC Metropolitan of Montenegro and Lateral Amfilohije conducted the funeral service, and told the mourners that both Borislav and Slobodan Milosevic would be remembered "for sacrificing themselves for the good of their state and people, and for establishing good relations with Russia". Former Russian General Leonid Ivashov also attended, to say that Borislav Milosevic was a great friend of Russia. "He was a great diplomat, a fighter for Slavic unity, and he always stressed that neither Serbia nor Montenegro would be able sustain themselves without having close ties with Russia," Ivashov said in his eulogy. Former Yugoslav Prime Minister and Montenegrin President Momir Bulatovic also attended the funeral, as did some Montenegrin opposition leaders and members of the Russian Duma. Borislav Milosevic served as Yugoslav ambassador in Moscow in the 1990s, and later continued to live in Russia. Borislav Milošević laid to rest in Montenegro

Borislav Milošević passed away in Belgrade earlier this week, aged 77.
