BRUSSELS Serbia and Croatia "have no rational justification for non-cooperation", Croatia's FM Vesna Pusic has said ahead of her prime minister's trip to Serbia. The meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday between PMs Ivica Dacic and Zoran Milanovic "will be a message to the public in both countries about the possibility of solving issues through regional cooperation rather than by confrontation," she said in Brussels on Tuesday. Croat FM: Issues should be resolved by cooperation In a statement quoted by Croatian media, Pusic said that the meeting between the prime ministers had been prepared for a while. "I expect a positive message to the Croatian, Serbian and European public about the possibility of solving problems through quality regional cooperation and not through confrontation," said Pusic. She said Ivica Dacic and Zoran Milanovic would meet to discuss three key problems to be worked out - the war legacy issues, the economic issues, primarily concerning Croatia's departure from CEFTA after joining the EU, and the European issues and European future, as Croatia was to become a member soon and Serbia and other neighbors had a sound European perspective. "The meeting between the prime ministers is particularly important because of the political message and because a stage is being prepared to serve as the ground for working meetings at different levels, including an agreement on cross-border projects that I hope we will identify and that we will negotiate through heads of terms for them by mid-February," said Pusic.
