A Croatian customs officer attempted to blackmail a Slovak woman into having sex in order to let her and her friends in the country, reports said. The incident, the Slovak media are reporting, took place on the Plovanija border crossing between Croatia and Slovenia earlier this week. "Croat customs officer demanded sex from foreign tourist" The Slovak embassy in Zagreb, Croatia, has confirmed that they were informed about the case. A member of the young woman's family sent an official complaint to the embassy, TASR news agency reports. According to this, the Croatian customs officers pulled over a vehicle in which four young Slovaks - two women and two men - were traveling. Demanding to know "where the drugs were hidden", they searched the vehicle and the tourists' luggage. They then took the two men to an office, forcing them to strip naked and threatening that they would be sent to jail. One of the customs officers repeatedly told one of the men that they would all be released "if one of the women performed oral sex on him". Since no drugs were found in the car, the tourists were allowed to enter Croatia after an hour of the ordeal, TASR reported, adding that the Slovak Foreign Ministry was also informed about the case. Meanwhile in Zagreb, Customs Service spokesman Mario Demirovic denied the media reports, claiming that the incident "never happened", and adding that this was "ascertained beyond any doubt", accusing at the same time the media of printing "incorrect and extremely biased reports".
