Fire on the Croatian island of Brač, that has been raging for three days, has been put under control, authorities announced on Saturday night.

Fire on the Croatian island of Brac, that has been raging for three days, has been put under control, authorities announced on Saturday night. Situation in the endangered area is calm and there are no flames of smoke, it is said in the announcement. Croatia: Island fire under control Ground forces are deployed to accessible parts of the area, especially around residential areas. Around 300 firemen with about 90 trucks are in charge of putting out smaller fires.
