The butchered remains of a Serbian drug dealer, Cvetko Simic, were found in Lake Jarun in Croatia, according to local police. The identity of the corpse was confirmed through DNA analysis. The head and hands of the victim are still missing. Body of suspected Serb criminal found Since Simic was listed as a criminal, the police already had his DNA on file. He was mostly tied to drug smuggling, which is also speculated to the likely reason for his death. Croatian media stated that Simic’s death probably has ties to conflicts between various mafia groups. Simic was reportedly a member of a group of smugglers led by Luka Bojovic, one of the most prominent figures of the "Serbian mafia", mentioned also in connection to the Zemun Clan crime gang. The torso was found by three kayakers on Monday stuck in a bush near the shore, while the legs were found on Tuesday by divers searching the area. The body was in the water "for at least a month". Psychiatrists were quoted by the media as saying that the murderer was "probably someone with a serious mental disorder, a schizophrenic or psychopath that enjoys reading about the killing in the media".
