Presidency "won't discuss Kosovo"

Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency member Nebojsa Radmanovic said on Wednesday that this institution has "an unequivocal stand" regarding Kosovo. This means that the country has not recognized Kosovo and that it will not discuss this issue in the foreseeable future, he explained. Presidency "won't discuss Kosovo" Reacting to a request from the Forum of Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) of Kosovo that Bosnia should recognize Kosovo, Radmanovic said that those making such demands must consider "what kind of state Bosnia-Herzegovina is, what tendencies are present, and what could be the consequences of such a move". As a member of the Presidency, Radmanovic said, he would not comment on this request in concrete terms as he does not have sufficient information. The Forum of Bosniaks of Kosovo asked Bosnia to "recognize the independence of Kosovo, and consequently, as soon as possible to recognize the travel documents of Kosovo citizens so that Bosniaks and other citizens of Kosovo can travel freely to the Bosnia". The forum was attended by Bosnian Grand Mufti Mustafa Ceric, and also Islamic Community in Serbia leader Muamer Zukorlic. The premier of Bosnia's Serb entity, RS, reacted to Ceric's visit. Milorad Dodik said that the trip was political, and that Ceric's activities "clearly speak that he is a factor of disturbance in Bosnia and the whole region". Kosovo's ethnic Albanians in February 2008 unilaterally declared independence. The proclamation, rejected as illegal in Belgrade, has not been recognized by Bosnia.
