Miroslav Lajcak says the international community will not to allow the Kosovo situation to affect matters in Bosnia. “I’m glad that there has been no attempt at any kind of tit-for-tat in Bosnia-Hercegovina over Kosovo,” the international high representative told daily Novosti. OHR: Kosovo situation won't affect Bosnia “Serbia is working out its own problems and is minding its own business. I’ve not noticed anyone from Serbia trying to transfer those problems to Bosnia-Hercegovina. Meanwhile, Republic of Srpska Prime Minister Milorad Dodik announced earlier, and confirmed later at the Council for the Implementation of Peace, that he guaranteed that the situation in the RS would be peaceful and stable,” said Lajcak. He also touched on Dodik’s opposition to Kosovo independence and his claim that the Bosnian Serbs would have to reconsider their position if Sarajevo decided to recognize Pristina’s unilateral independence declaration. “That matter barely exists, as there’s not a single politician here who says that Kosovo independence should be recognized. Besides, there’s not a single country that’s calling on Bosnia to recognize Kosovo,” concluded the high representative. Miroslav Lajcak (FoNet, archive)
