BANJA LUKA Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has repeated that he considers the RS a state because it has all international elements of a state. “The RS is a state according to everything, except for an ignorant stance of some states and we see it that way,” he told Radio Television of the RS. Dodik says “Republic of Srpska is state” Dodik claims that Bosnia-Herzegovina is a must for the RS, adding that the RS respected the Dayton Accords but that “it will not be the only one to defend it”. “Bosnia-Herzegovina is an impossible country considering the fact that it gave up on the implementation of the Dayton Accords. The spirit of Dayton has passed and we have now entered a farce, where basically nobody wants this country. Bosniaks do not want it either because they would accept the Dayton Accords if they did,” the RS president pointed out. He said on Wednesday that he advocated defining of clear political goals of the Serbian people, adding that he had discussed the issue with Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic. Dodik said that they would in September discuss a possibility of joint actions when it comes to Kosovo, Dayton Accords, Serbian Orthodox Church, language and other important issues. He stressed that his Alliance of Independent Social-Democrats (SNSD) would not give up on dismissal of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s FM Zlatko Lagumdzija, who in his opinion, violated the Constitution and laws.
