Milorad Dodik says the Hague Tribunal’s acquittal of Radovan Karadzic on one count of the indictment confirms there was no genocide in the Republic of Srpska. “This shows that they tried earlier to make a political confusion and of course such political confusion in which they would look for some other places where genocide happened in the RS has completely failed,” the RS president pointed out. There was no genocide in RS, Dodik says “Such court decisions constantly confirm our claims that genocide did not happen here and denies all those who wanted to pin it on the Serbian people by exerting pressure through media,” he added. The Hague Tribunal acquitted Karadzic on one count of the genocide indictment on Thursday. However, he is still facing the genocide indictment for the involvement in the killing of Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995. On the other hand, associations of Bosniak victims are shocked by the Hague Tribunal’s decision to acquit Karadzic on one count of the genocide indictment. They believe that the Tribunal has practically completely acquitted Karadzic and that the decision is changing the facts about the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The associations also stressed that the international community had this way become an accomplice in the crimes. Milorad Dodik (Tanjug, file) B92
