The visit of Serbian President Boris Tadic to Sarajevo is yet another positive step on the Western Balkans' long road to post-war recovery and reconciliation. This is according to High Representative and EU Special Representative in Bosnia Valentin Inzko. "Tadic visit to Sarajevo another positive step" At the meeting with Tadic in Sarajevo, Inzko said that strong and productive bilateral relations between Sarajevo and Belgrade will benefit the citizens of both Serbia and Bosnia, the Office of High Representative (OHR) stated Wednesday. Inzko stressed that Serbia's progress towards the EU represents a good example that Bosnia should follow. He also commended the President Tadic's constructive and positive policy in the entire region. Inzko said that, as a result of inflexible approach of certain Bosnia leaders, and after nine months during which the main political parties did not manage to agree on the appointment of chairman of the Council of Ministers, Bosnia risks to lag behind the rest of the region which is headed towards Europe. That would be tragic and would very negatively affect the entire Bosnia population, Inzko added. This is particularly regrettable taking into account that all conditions exist to make progress towards Europe. In addition, the EU is ready to provide any possible help, but it seems that certain political leaders in Bosnia are determined not to take this great opportunity, OHR's statement reads.
