Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor condemned the vandalizing of a monument erected for Serb civilian victims in Varivode near Knin. Kosor called for an immediate investigation for finding those who committed the act of vandalism. Kosor condemns vandalization of Serb memorial “The Prime Minister called on the Interior Ministry and other institutions to launch an immediate investigation and to solve the case immediately, in order for the perpetrators to be found and punished for this act of vandalism,” the Croatian government stated. Croatian MP from the Independent Democratic Serbian Party Milorad Pupovac visited Varivode and also condemned the acts. Unknown suspects destroyed a monument in Varivode dedicated to Serb civilians who were killed in September 1995 after the Storm military operation. The nine victims were in between the ages of 65 and 80.
