The state agency for investigation and protection (SIPA) in Trebinje has arrested four persons and seized about 30 kgs of the “skunk” variety of marihuana.

The state agency for investigation and protection (SIPA) in Trebinje has arrested four persons and seized about 30 kgs of the “skunk” variety of marihuana. SIPA implemented the action on the order of the special sector of the Bosnian prosecution for organized crime, economic crime and corruption. Bosnian police seize 30 kgs of cannabis The drugs came from the territory of Montenegro and were smuggled into Bosnia with the intent to get them to Croatia and then to countries of Western Europe. The value of the seized drugs in Croatia is about EUR 150,000, and the street value if sold in Western Europe would be close to EUR 250,000. Skunk is a purer and stronger strain of cannabis. The suspects have been detained and would be taken before the investigative judge, who is expected to remand them into custody pending an investigation and trial.
