Seven of the persons were seriously injured and one is in critical condition. Croatia: Train hits station buffers According to the Croatian railroad company, the accident occurred at 5:26 CET when a passenger train from the town of Sisak could not brake in time, and hit the concrete buffers at the end of the track. Police and ambulances arrived to the scene immediately and took the injured to a Zagreb hospital. Police are investigating the accident and according to initial assumptions, they believe that the extremely low temperatures could have caused the crash. Weather conditions have caused problems over the last several days all over Croatia, blocking roads and slowing down travel with accidents occurring around the country. After significant snowfall on Saturday, even in cities on the seacoast, temperatures were very low on Sunday, causing freezing and ice on roads and tracks.
