“Serbia should be Montenegro's closest ally”
9 November 2009 | 12:31 | Source: Tanjug
PODGORICA -- Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Svetozar Marović said that Serbia should be Montenegro's closest ally in the region.

“We expect Serbia to have the same opinion of Montenegro,” Marović said in an interview with daily Pobjeda.

He believes that Montenegro's realistic interest is to have the best possible relations with Serbia, adding that the two countries should seriously work on developing mutual relations.

“The friendship and closeness of Serbia and Montenegro must overcome the hidden, personal vanity, lack of understanding, and differences, which have always existed in historical and current political issues,” said Marović.
