French car giant Citroen has apologized to the Bosnian embassy in Paris for publishing new promotional campaign that saw the country wiped from the map. The map was recently discussed by the Slovenian government as well. On the map, the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina is divided between Serbia and Croatia. New Citroen ad sparks Bosnian outrage At the same time, part of Croatia is “linked” to Slovenia, while Montenegro is left off the map entirely, and its territory is shown as a part of Serbia. There is no Kosovo on the map either, even though France has recognized it as an independent country. Citroen Managing Director Frederic Banzet has sent a letter of apology to the Bosnia-Herzegovina embassy in Paris, stating that Citroen has stopped further distribution of this promotional material, and that all remaining copies of the map will be destroyed, according to a statement from the Bosnia-Herzegovina Foreign Ministry.
