PM tells German official EU is Serbia's "main goal"
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke on Thursday with Special Envoy of the German Federal Foreign Office in charge of EU Affairs Thomas Ossowski.Source: srbija.gov.rs
Ossowski conveyed to Brnabic the message from the German government that this country is committed to further enlargement of the European Union and is ready to help Serbia, as a key country in the Balkans to join the family of European countries.
Brnabic confirmed that the main goal of Serbia is the road to the European Union and pointed out that the government is determined to work on the implementation of reforms in all areas, and that she expects faster progress in opening new chapters in the negotiation process.
She also stressed that regional cooperation and stability are crucial for further progress.
The officials agreed that the rapid implementation of reforms, especially in the fields of economy, human rights and justice, is very important, as the date of joining the Union will be closer.
Ossowski voiced hope that the normalization of the relations between Belgrade and Pristina will result from a constructive dialogue and welcomed the initiative of President Vucic to launch an internal dialogue on Kosovo.
