US "greatly values close ties" with Serbia - Trump to Vucic

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has received a letter from US President Donald Trump, the Serbian government has announced.

US "greatly values close ties" with Serbia - Trump to Vucic

"The United States greatly values its close ties with Serbia. The values we share are evident across our bilateral relationship, including support for Serbia’s goal of joining the European Union," the letter said, and added:

"This will help ensure a more prosperous and secure future for your country and the Western Balkans. Serbia's efforts to fully normalize relations with Kosovo also stand as further testament to how shared aspirations of peace can overcome even the most difficult challenges."

"I look forward to deepening our bilateral cooperation as we work together on achieving our common goals," Trump wrote.
