Israeli PM: Serbia is committed to fighting anti-Semitism

"The signing of the agreement between Serbia and Israel on visa-free regime in 2009 and your historic visit to Israel in December 2014 were important milestones in our relations, which have been stronger since then.

The commitment of your government to the memory of the Holocaust and the fight against anti-Semitism, as well as your commitment to the adoption of legislation relating to Jewish property have brought our two countries even closer together.

I hope that significant progress will be achieved this year with the establishment of a memorial center for Serbian Jews who perished during the Holocaust. This will give an important dimension of education and remembrance of the Holocaust.

While celebrating the National Day, I wish you and the people of Serbia continued development, prosperity and success. I look forward to the further expansion of friendship and cooperation between our two countries in the years to come."
