Joksimovic told state broadcaster RTS that December 13 is mentioned as a date to open new negotiating chapters.

"It is important that the European Commission has prepared the logistics to, after the approval of all EU member states, open chapter 5 on public procurement, and chapters 25 and 26 on education, science, culture, youth," said Joksimovic.

Speaking about a contract worth 80 million euros that will provide financial support to Serbia's public administration reform, which will be signed today in Belgrade, Joksimovic said it is a grant that will be used to upgrade the quality of government services in Serbia.

"This kind of support cannot be obtained only a state that is not macroeconomically stable, that does not have a transparent budget. This is money will not be seen in a specific object but serves to transform the public administration in such a way to provide that citizens and the business community with quality services," the minister said.

She added that in 2017, Serbia will also count on a 200 million euro grant from EU's pre-accession funds. According to Joksimovic the money will be used to finance schools, hospitals and roads.
