"You will have a sincere partner in the government of the Republic of Serbia and in me personally in achieving this goal, because our cooperation is an important pillar of peace and stability in the region, as well as the promotion of common European values," Vucic further wrote, adding that he expected good cooperation and wished Plenkovic much success in performing his new, responsible duty.

The coalition government of Plenkovic, the leader of the HDZ party, was elected in the Croatian Assembly on Wednesday with 91 votes in favor, 45 against, and 3 abstained.

The media reported earlier that unlike Croatia's previous HDZ-led government, this one does not include ministers Miro Kovac and Zlatan Hasanbegovic, who are seen as members of the right wing party's more radical faction.
