At the same time, Li conveyed to Nikolic an invitation to visit China and a message that all projects agreed must be implemented as soon as possible.

He noted the readiness of the Chinese side to sign on June 30 a contract on the acquisition of the Smederevo steel mill, invest in the Serbian energy sector, the food and the defence industries, the petrochemical sector and health care, culture and tourism.

Nikolic expressed satisfaction with Xi's visit, noting that its results and effects were visible already, the press office of the Serbian president said in a statement.

"The readiness of the Chinese side to invest in Serbia, in production is particular, is valuable," Nikolic noted, adding that the two countries would thus strengthen their friendship and that job creation was vital to Serbia.

Xi paid a three-day visit to Serbia on June 17-19.
