"Realistic to expect new government by June 16"

The SNS party leader and the prime minister said that his party would start consultations on the composition of a new government on June 1, with those parties "willing to talk."

"We will talk with everyone willing to talk, but that does not mean everyone will join the cabinet. We want to hear their ideas, if they have any, " Vucic said.

The prime minister-designate said that Vojvodina's legislature would be set up on June 2, and a new Serbian parliament on June 3 or June 4.

Speaking about his meeting in Moscow on Thursday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Vucic said he "did not mention any other party, except for the Serb Progressive Party (SNS)."

Vucic dismissed as false media speculations that the Russian president had pressed for the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) to enter his new government, underlining that during a polite conversation no other party, except the SNS, had been mentioned.
