Several opposition parties and coalitions announced on Monday they would set up a joint legal team to analyze all election materials.

Opposition forms legal team; OSCE: No election theft

DSS leader Sanda Raskovic-Ivic told a news conference that, based on the analyses, the legal team will collaborate on amendments to the election laws, so as to ensure “this electoral chaos never repeats."

The parties took note that their electoral lists all won seats in parliament, thus confirming the results they had presented earlier - "and proving wrong the results made public by leader of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic."

“During the meeting, the politicians said the electoral process was plagued by numerous irregularities that influenced citizens' free choice. Citizens reported cases of voter impersonation, the deceased received invitations to vote… Vote-buying was disclosed at several polling stations, as well as already circled ballot papers,” Raskovic-Ivic said.

The OSCE on Monday said that election theft did not occur in Serbia, while those who feel otherwise can lodge complaints. Elections will be repeated where irregularities are determined to have happened, it was said.

Also on Monday, the OSCE observer mission published its preliminary statement that said the parliamentary vote on April 24 and preceding campaign in Serbia "offered voters a variety of choices and fundamental freedoms were respected, although there was biased media coverage, an undue advantage for incumbents and a blurring of the distinction between state and party activities."
