Observers will monitor the work of the national electoral commission and electoral committees. CeSID will have 705 observers, followed by the Crta association with 509, the Citizens on Watch association with 462 and the Academic Initiative Forum 10 association with nine observers for electoral committees in Novi Pazar, with the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights (YUCOM) to have two observers monitoring the work of the national electoral commission.

Numerous foreign observers will include those representing the OSCE/ODIHR, the embassies of France, Romania, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Belgium, Austria, Norway, Ukraine, US, Canada, Australia, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the central electoral commissions of the Russian Federation, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Slovenia.

RIK has decided to reduce the number of polling station locations in Kosovo and Metohija from 25 to 21 for security reasons, it has also been announced.

"The security situation in Kosovo and Metohija is unfavorable, involving high risk to voters at polling stations, and the number of locations will be reduced and some addresses changed to keep things under control," Dejan Djurdjevic said during RIK's 114th session, held in Belgrade late on Wednesday.

"Now there will be more polling stations - about ten in a single location, most of which will be in schools," Djurdjevic said, adding that the number of voters remains the same, and that there will be 90 polling stations.
