By opening the first negotiation chapters in its EU talks on Monday, Serbia will open the door to Europe, says Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo.

Serbia is already in Europe, notes Italian ambassador

We are working together on our common future in Europe, Manzo said at the gala dinner organized by the Chamber.

2015 was excellent for Italy in Serbia, he noted, adding that an unprecedented period, during which Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Senate President Pietro Grasso and Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni all visited Belgrade, started a year ago with a meeting between Prime Ministers Aleksandar Vucic and Matteo Renzi in Rome.

"This is also confirmed by figures that place Italy and its companies in the top position in terms of trade and investments in Serbia," he said.
