Serbian PM tours China's Suzhou Industrial Park

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic began a three-day visit to China on Tuesday by touring the industrial park in the city of Suzhou and bus maker Higer Bus.

Serbian PM tours China's Suzhou Industrial Park

The entire region occupies 288 square km, out of which the area of the China-Singapore cooperation covers 80 km2 with the local population of 1.2 million, the government's media office said.

In the afternoon hours, the Serbian prime minister will attend the Fourth Meeting of Heads of Government of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) at the Taihu International Conference Center in the city of Suzhou.

Vucic will be in China until November 27. He will meet with the country's top officials and take part in the summit of China 16 countries of Central and East Europe.

He is accompanied by a business delegation will include the representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and 12 companies, Beta reported.

Serbian Chamber of Commerce President Marko Cadez said on Monday that he expected the visit to result "in agreements that will enable the companies from Serbia to increase their exports to the Chinese market."

"The talks at state level will be about how to create a framework for future cooperation in commerce through state and inter-state agreements, in order to enable Serbian companies to export more to the Chinese market, which is very important for Serbia's trade," Cadez told reporters.
