PM talks about Tanjug shutdown, criticizes minister

Vucic "strongly criticized Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac over the decision."

“I want to say, for the sake of the shorthand record and history, how disappointed I am with what has happened to Tanjug,” the prime minister said addressing Tasovac, and added that for the same reasons, he "wanted to say he was against the decision."

Still addressing Tasovac, Vucic said:

"You and (ministry's state secretary) Sasa Mirkovic were persuading me this is important, needed, and in the spirit of reforms. You asked not to go to Sarajevo so you could stay here and defend and explain the decision. I watched the news last night, I didn't see you anywhere, all I heard was the clumsy explanation of Sasa Mirkovic, where he refers to Article 141, so I don't understand why exactly you didn't go to Sarajevo."

Vucic and several members of his cabinet on Wednesday attended a joint session of the Serbian government and the Bosnian Council of Ministers.

During the session of his cabinet in Belgrade on Thursday, he also said:

"Those who do not want to be in the government, the free agents, those who do not want to be a part of the team, and go somewhere with the government, because they're not the center of attention, and their results are invisible - and this now does not refer to you, Tasovac - I am kindly asking them not to behave like that. It is clear I will not plead with you for anything."

"Although I was against the closure of Tanjug, and you, Tasovac, were in favor... you, Tasovac, did not shoulder the burden, you let me do it, as usual," the prime minister concluded.
