Serbia's OSCE Chairmanship is determined to intensify activities aimed at implementation of the Minsk agreement, Ivica Dacic has said.

Dacic urges all sides to respect Minsk agreement

"I appeal to and urge all sides to continue to respect the Minsk agreement," Dacic told a press conference after a meeting with Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group Ambassador Martin Sajdik, and Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ambassador Ertugrul Apakani.

Dacic condemned in the strongest terms the violations of ceasefire and the recent incidents in Kiev.

Truce, verification of withdrawal of heavy weaponry, normalization of life, resolution of humanitarian issues, continuation of the political process and holding local elections will be the signal that the war is ending and that peace is being restored, Dacic said after the meeting, which was also attended by OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.

Dacic announced that a meeting of the OSCE Troika will be held on September 19 in Germany, to resume the talks with the top OSCE officials engaged in the attempts to find a solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
