In this respect, Serbia and other regional countries need political support. We want to record growth again. This is what matters for us, rather than some nationalist games that some would like to play, Vucic said in an interview for German daily Handelsblatt.

Asked whether the German government has paid too little attention to Serbia and the Balkans, Vucic said that it is quite the opposite - that no other EU government is paying that much attention as the one in Berlin.

Vucic to visit Vienna

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is set to make an official visit to Vienna, where he will attend the Civil Society Forum on Wednesday, and participate in the Western Balkans Summit on Thursday.

Before the opening of the Forum, which will be attended by around 200 representatives of the civil society in the fields of culture, economy, media and politics, Prime Minister Vucic will meet with EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, the government's media relations office said in a release.

On the second day of the visit, Prime Minister Vucic will meet with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti, take part in a meeting on the construction of Nis-Pristina-Durres highway, and attend the Summit opening.

The Western Balkans Summit will open with keynote speeches by Austrian Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The topics will include economic situation and reform processes in the Western Balkans, youth and education, and energy and transport interconnection.
