Vucic and Aliyev "discussed cooperation in the field of infrastructure, military industry, energy and agriculture."

The Serbian PM said he was "pleased with his country's experience with Azerbaijani companies doing business in Serbia," the Serbian government's media relations office said.

"We are determined to strengthen our ties, not only political, but also economic ones," Vucic said, and thanked Aliyev for the support his country has given to Serbia's territorial integrity.

During the meeting, Vucic also proposed establishment of direct air links between Belgrade and Baku, Tanjug reported.

Ilham Aliyev said during the meeting that he hoped the Serbian delegation's visit will be successful and strengthen the two countries' economic ties.

"Our support to Serbia is firm, and our companies would like to initiate a number of projects in Serbia as they are satisfied with the conditions and support they have in your country," the president underlined.

Aliyev added that Azerbaijani companies are "greatly interested in partaking in the process of privatization of Serbian companies."

Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, who is a member of the delegation visiting Azerbaijan, toured Azerbaijan Methanol Company (AzMeCo), whose representatives "showed great interest in possible investments in Kikinda-based MSK and Pancevo-based Petrohemija."

Vucic and Alijev agreed that AzMeCo representatives should visit Serbia and continue talks on possible forms of cooperation.

According to announcements ahead of his trip, Vucic will also be received by Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Parliament Speaker Oktay Asadov and Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev.

Vucic will meet with President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev and representatives of Azerbaijani companies, and lay wreaths at the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor and at the Eternal Flame memorial at Martyr's Lane.
