According to a government statement, head of the EP delegation Eduard Kukan noted that MEPs "highly appreciated the commitment of the government of Serbia and the prime minister personally to the European road."

He also "stressed that the European Parliament will support Serbia in fulfilling the goal of European integration."

Vucic informed the delegation about the reform measures "that should contribute to the progress of Serbia on the European path and improve investment climate in the country, stressing the importance of reforms in the judiciary."

"We will do everything to protect the political and economic stability of the country and the region," the prime minister said, stressing the importance of regional cooperation and mentioning infrastructure projects that Serbia is proposing in order to connect the region.

Kukan and members of the EP delegation "congratulated Vucic on economic reforms," noting that it was "a bold move," said the statement.

MEPs "highlighted the contribution of the Serbian government to the progress of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and offered assistance to Serbia in the fight against corruption."

Earlier, Kukan told Tanjug that Serbia was "on the right track to join the EU" with its government "committed" to that goal.
