Serbia wants "closest possible" cooperation with Macedonia

Vucic "expressed his gratitude to Ivanov for the cordial welcome he had received" and briefed him on the joint session of the two countries’ governments held in Skopje earlier in the day.

"Investments in infrastructure projects are very important to both countries," Vucic said, adding that Serbia wanted the closest possible cooperation with Macedonia.

Ivanov said that the joint sessions were "an example of how the two countries should cooperate and solve problems together."

"We want good cooperation with our neighbors, particularly in the economic sphere," said Ivanov, according a Serbian government statement.

Vucic and Ivanov "discussed infrastructure projects, high-speed rail, gas supply, regional projects, and also Serbia's current chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)."
