Nikolic said that Serbia will make every effort for BiH citizens to live better, while at the same time improving special relations with RS within the framework of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Nikolic pointed to the need for Serbia and Croatia to show with some gesture that conflicts are behind them, and noted that there are always two sides to every conflict, the president's press office stated.

“It is very important to condemn the crimes, and express empathy toward all victims and their families,” Nikolic underlined.

He also underlined the need for the entire region to invest efforts together with the EU to ensure that BiH is not an isolated part of the Balkans, turned to internal rifts, but that it capitalizes on the fact that members of the three peoples live in it, and attract investors from across the world.

Ivanic said that there are many disagreements between the three constitutive peoples, and it requires a lot of time to change that.

“I hope that in the next four years a significant step will be made toward cooperation and compromise,” he underscored.

Ivanic said that, as a Serb member of the BiH Presidency, he will fight for the equality of the Serb people in the entire territory of BiH, and that he will never jeopardize the equality of the Bosniak and Croat peoples, or members of national minorities, reads the release.
