Center for Management of Crisis Situations opens

The center will make the communication with the Ministry for Emergencies and the Serbian-Russian Humanitarian center faster and easier, thereby improving crisis response, Marić stressed.

Co-Director of the Serbian-Russian Humanitarian center Viktor Safyanov agreed with this, underscoring that the center and the Serbian ministry will continue to coordinate their efforts in all emergency situations.

Russian and Serbian officials from the crisis sector attended a display exercise showing how to fight a fire in an oil facility.

The creation of the center was funded by the Russian Ministry for Emergencies.

The Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center set up for quick response in natural or human-made disasters was opened on April 25, 2012.

The rescue workers at the center cover the whole region, including Croatia, Montenegro, and Macedonia.
