Leaders should show restraint, Rama's visit should go ahead

It is very unfortunate and I hope that it will not have further implications, Wilhelm told Tanjug.

Wilhelm added that he did not see what exactly happened as he was not watching the game.

He voiced hope that the incident will have no further implications, explaining that this is particularly important considering the upcoming visit by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to Belgrade on October 22.

“I hope that the visit by Prime Minister Rama will take place and that it will not be canceled. That would be a very bad development,” the German ambassador said, adding that this would be a historic visit, the first visit by an Albanian prime minister to Serbia after 1948.

The European Championship qualifier between Serbia and Albania was abandoned on Tuesday evening in Belgrade after a drone carrying a map showing the so-called Greater Albania appeared over the pitch.
