Political deadlock continues in Kosovo

Thaci told reporters that he had "a very fair conversation" with Jahjaga focused on reaching agreements with other parties in the Kosovo Assembly, related to the election of its speaker.

According to him, the DPK "calls for the will of the people and the Constitution of Kosovo to be respected," while his party "will not change its position."

The media in Priština are reporting that it is still uncertain whether the assembly will meet on October 9.

Meanwhile, leader of the opposition Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj has accused Thaci of "doing monstrous things."

After his meeting with Jahjaga, Haradinaj said that the delay and failure to hold the session of the assembly "does not contribute
to overcoming the current situation."

According to him, the institutional blockade of Kosovo can only be resolved by Thaci's withdrawal, "as a government that lost its parliamentary majority should withdraw."

Haradinaj once again reiterated that there was "nothing to talk about with the DPK," and that the opposition will not accept any meeting with them.

He added that at the October 9 session of the assembly, the opposition plans "to show that it has a majority to form institutions"
