Dacic: International forces key for security in Kosovo

At a meeting with Vershbow on the sidelines of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Dacic pointed to the importance of overall good communication with NATO, and consultations in relation to Serbia's forthcoming chairmanship of the OSCE.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that, as part of the development of cooperation between Serbia and NATO within the Partnership for Peace programme, it is expected that an Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) will be signed soon.

The IPAP is the most advanced form of cooperation with NATO, and does not require membership. It envisages the dialogue with NATO on political-security, military-defense, administrative and public diplomacy issues, scientific cooperation and planning in emergency situations.

Dacic told the NATO senior official that on Wednesday Serbia co-sponsored the UN Security Council Resolution on foreign terrorist fighters, and that it is ready to properly contribute to the fight against terrorism, the release notes.
