B92 has learned that Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić plans to nominate Željko Serić as candidate for Serbia's new minister of economy.

PM to nominate Chamber of Commerce head for economy minister

Vučić had two weeks to nominate a new economy minister to parliament, which will vote on the proposal. However, the Law on Government does not specify a deadline for this to take place.

Since March 2013, Sertić has held the office of president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS).

Sertić is a manager and entrepreneur born in Sečanj, in the province of Vojovodina. He went to school in Novi Sad, and graduated from the Belgrade-based Union University.
