PM, ministers ignore Anti-Corruption Agency's request

Deputy Director Vladan Joksimović told a news conference that the request was "explicitly refused" by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dačić, and ministers Igor Mirović, Zorana Mihajlović, Nikola Selaković, Velimir Ilić, Milan Bačević, and Dragan Glamočić.

Joksimović said that the agency noted that some officials were very active in the campaign and explained that while public officials are not prohibited from also performing party roles, "they may not misuse public resources to promote their own political parties."

The agency official noted that some members of the outgoing Serbian government responded by saying that they were under no obligation to submit reports on their activities during the campaign.

However, the agency sent them "a warning with an additional explanation" about why they should comply with the request, and gave them a deadline of 15 days to do so.
