“It is with disbelief that we have received the news about the death of innocent citizens in a repeated, mindless, criminal act in Volgograd,” the Serbian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday quoted the message.

“I wish to assure you that the Russian Federation and its citizens have our unreserved support in the fight against terrorism,” reads Mrkić's telegram.

Two terrorist attacks shook Volgograd within 24 hours on Sunday and Monday.

The number of casualties increased to 33 after one wounded person passed away in the hospital on Monday evening, Russian officials stated on Tuesday.
