BELGRADE Chief negotiator with the EU Tanja Miscevic says being given the date to launch accession talks was "a major triumph for Serbia and not a Pyrrhic victory." The date is a major triumph for Serbia and it entails additional credibility and fresh appreciation of Serbia as a future EU member, Miscevic said in a program broadcast by Radio Television of Serbia. Asked whether Kosovo's seat in the UN is being negotiated, Miscevic said that one international organisation can hardly define the conditions for accession to another international organization. “The negotiating framework envisages the obligation of Belgrade and Pristina to refrain from hindering each other's EU path and such obstacles were not posed so far,” Miscevic said. She noted that the immediate operative team for talks with the EU would be formed until the first intergovernmental conference on January 21 and it will comprise around ten people.
