BRUSSELS Working groups of Belgrade and Pristina are meeting in Brussels today try to solve the disagreements regarding the local elections in Kosovo. The meeting will include officials of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Working groups with OSCE on local elections in Kosovo The meeting is held on the initiative of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton following her meeting with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. Nikolic told Ashton on the occasion that the Pristina-based Central Electoral Commission is obstructing the elections preventing a large number of Serbs to register as voters, Tanjug was told in Brussels diplomatic circles. Afterwards Ashton, who is still in New York, organized a meeting of the two sides with the OSCE delegation at the seat of the European External Action Service in Brussels, the diplomatic sources told Tanjug. The Belgrade delegation will be headed by State Secretary Veljko Odalovic and President's Advisor Marko Djuric. Ashton's office said that this is a routine meeting which is part of the preparations for the elections scheduled for November 3.
