BELGRADE Head of the team for negotiations with the EU Tanja Miscevic and Branko Ruzic, the minister in charge of EU integration, are in Brussels on Tuesday. They are holding a meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule. Officials in Brussels for meeting with EU commissioner Miscevic yesterday told reporters in Belgrade that the meeting would discuss "the reforms that should be implemented, in which areas the situation improved, and where work is still needed." She also stated that "the important issue will be the implementation of the Brussels agreement." This official said it was a regular meeting, and that Ruzic would participate for the first time since they were both appointed to the new positions. Both will meet with members of the working group for the Western Balkans in the European Parliament (EP) on Wednesday, as well as with other EP members, it has been announced. On Thursday, Ruzic and Miscevic will meet with heads of permanent delegations to the EU of Italy, France, Slovenia, Greece, Estonia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. A day ahead of the visit of the Serbian government delegation to Brussels, the EU said that the preparations for the initiation on accession talks are "running smoothly," Tanjug reported. Miščević yesterday told reporters in Belgrade that the meeting would discuss "the reforms that should be implemented, in which areas the situation improved, and where work is still needed."
