Parliament adopts changes to Law on Ministries

A bill sent to MPs by the government, amending the Law on Ministries, was passed late on Wednesday in the Serbian parliament with 128 votes in favor.

BELGRADE A bill sent to MPs by the government, amending the Law on Ministries, was passed late on Wednesday in the Serbian parliament with 128 votes in favor. The adoption of the legislation was a prerequisite for the Serbian government reshuffle to complete. Parliament adopts changes to Law on Ministries A total of 66 MPs voted against the proposed law. After 12 hours, parliament finished the debate on amendments to the proposed legal solution. Under the law, Prime Minister Ivica Dacic's cabinet will now have 18 ministries instead of the current 17, as the Ministry of Finance and Economic will be split into two. A total of 39 amendments were filed to the changes in the Law on Ministries, but the Serbian government rejected them all earlier in the day on Wednesday. (Tanjug) Tanjug
