BELGRADE Ivica Dacic said on Thursday that the meeting of the Serbian parliament to discuss government reshuffle should begin on August 26. “We have until the end of the week to prepare amendments to the Law on Ministries and the party bodies to put forward their proposals for new appointments. We would like the meeting to begin on August 26, given that I am in Brussels on August 27 and at a UN Security Council meeting in New York on August 29," Dacic told reporters. "Parliament should discuss reshuffle on August 26" Dacic did not want to reveal the names of ministerial candidates. He announced that the Socialist Party of Serbia, the party he heads, will hold a presidency meeting on Sunday, and the government will hold a meeting the day before that to get everything prepared for the parliament’s meeting on Monday. The prime minister stressed that the government has the support of the parliament. Dacic also said that the ruling coalition parties - the Serb Progressive Party and the Socialist Party of Serbia - have not talked about changing sectors they head.
