BELGRADE - Minister of Education, Zarko Obradovic, declared that he wishes to officially resign. Obradovic notified the Prime Minister and members of the Government at the regular session that he wishes to withdraw from his position and thus became the first minister to officially resign in the government reshuffle process. Obradovic first to officially resign Obradovic delivered his farewell speech to the ministers and thanked everyone on the cooperation so far, explaining that he will not be attending the government sessions any longer, the Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported. The minister from the lines of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) filed his formal resignation to the prime minister and the General Secretariat of the government and he will be on his vacation until his resignation is adopted. Another member of the SPS, Minister of Transport Milutin Mrkonjic also resigned and notified the ministers that he would be heading the transport sector until the reshuffle is completed and a new minister is appointed, the daily states. Outgoing ministers from the Serbian Progressive Party Goran Knezevic, Bratislav Petkovic and Alisa Maric will also be performing their offices formally until a new team is set up. Officials of the United Regions of Serbia Mladjan Dinkic, Suzana Grubjesic and Verica Kalanovic are currently on vacation but they will not resign until the parliament session to appoint the new cabinet, the daily states. Obradovic delivered his farewell speech to the ministers and thanked everyone on the cooperation so far, explaining that he will not be attending the government sessions any longer, the Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported.
